How I spent my Friday night as a vampire...

The new book in the Twilight Saga came out August 2. So, Barnes and Noble held a Breaking Dawn Midnight Release Party. Since, it was the the youth girls that first got me interested in Twilight, we all decided to go to the party. We all picked a favorite Cullen (the good vampire family) to dress up as. We tried to put on dark makeup and snazzy clothes to look like vampires. We started out meeting at the Summit at Johnny Rocket's for dinner. It was supposed to be all girls, but one of the girls, Ana, wanted her friend Brad to come to act like one of the guy characters in the book. He called right before we pulled into Johnny Rocket's and said that he wasn't coming. Then we got to Johnny Rocket's and he was there... haha.

After eating we went window shopping, and we all tried on a dress for fun. Then we headed to Barnes and Noble. I'm very sad to say that the party wasn't any where as fun as I thought it was going to be. It was actually kind of boring. A book scavenger hunt, trivia, door prizes, and a costume contest were the only activities planned for like 3 hours, and they weren't planned very well. Even the girls thought that it was pretty boring.

But against our expectations we all got the book at midnight! We got home and started reading. I went to bed about 2, but some of the girls stayed awake all night reading. It was definitely the quietest slumber party I had ever been to!! It was a pretty fun night though, here are some pictures as promised!!
