I've been on a break from school for over a week now. And sadly, I'm very ready to head back to Birmingham and get back to nursing school! Sad... I know! Even though the rest and relaxation has been great, I like being busy, and "busy" has not been the word to describe me the past week! The break has been fun though. I got to go stay with Stacey in ttown for a couple of days, and have just gotten to see a lot of "long-lost friends" so far during the break. I've also had a lot of time to study the Word and think and pray. Lots of journaling too, which is great because I normally don't have time to journal about everything that I want to!!
God has shown me some awesome things the past week, and I really see evidence of me becoming more like Christ this past week... which is really cool. It's amazing that when we just stop, and really give our attention to God, openly, the things that he's able to do in our lives. Some things that I'm sure he's been wanting to do for a while!
I'm way excited to get back to Birmingham. I can't believe that this is my last year, but I'm determined to use it for God's glory. I want to see a little bit more of UAB begin to glorify the King! Though I'm completely hyped up right now, I know that once everything gets into swing and nursing school is back to trying to kill me, it's going to be very tempting to once again take to the "just make it through" mindset. But I know that God has not placed me at UAB this year just to finish up nursing school. I can't wait to see what he has planned for UAB's campus!! So, whoever reads this... haha, please pray for the body of Christ at UAB, and that more would be added to our number this year!
